The World Series of Comedy (WSOC) is North America's largest touring comedy festival. The WSOC produces 17 events per year in cities across the country, culminating in the year-end Finals, The Main Event in Las Vegas. Notable alumni of the festival include Josh Blue, Kabir Singh, Beth Stelling, Kiry Shabazz, JR De Guzman, Ryan Neimiller, Ellis Rodriguez, Zoltan Kaszas, Willie Macc, James Schraeder, Mia Jackson, and hundreds more working comedians. In addition to many other writing and performing credits, former contestants have been featured on The Tonight Show, Late Night, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Conan, Ellen, @midnight, The Pete Holmes Show, and The Late Show.
In 2022, The WSOC launched WSOC Records, a new division of the company focused on producing high quality audio recordings to release albums featuring the great performers that participate in the festival. An exclusive distribution deal was struck with Sirius XM to release content through their multiple standup comedy satellite radio channels. This year, The WSOC has added a new series of live performance events called WSOC Records Album Recording Shows to create content and specifically record full albums for distribution on Sirius XM.ROB EDWARDS
Rob Edwards is an up and coming stand up comic from Memphis, TN by way of Hayward, CA. He has become a regular at a number of clubs, including Tommy Ts, Punchline San Francisco and the San Jose Improv. He was 6th place in the 2022 San Francisco International Comedy Competition, and recently got 2nd place in The Main Event of The World Series of Comedy for 2023.
